AKBAY Youth choir practice

Our teenage members had their own practice and their own songs.  Most of the members are children of adult members of the choir.

Today they were joined by 2 new members. Yey! That's two more than we had last week!  Hopefully they enjoyed themselves and will invite their friends to join the choir.

Here are some photos from the practice of the youth choir with their new Musical Director.  As with the adult choir, the ladies outnumber the gents.  Time to invite more teenage guys to join!

AKBAY Adult choir practice

Today we practiced an old song that is not so easy to sing ... The Majesty and Glory of Your Name.  It is a beautiful piece and we hope to do it justice.

When you hear the adult choir practicing it is easy to tell that most of us have been in the choir before.  I may be wrong but I think majority of us were part of AKBAY in the 80s and 90s ... and some have continued to sing to this day.

AKBAY chorus practice

After the first hour those among the adults who choose to join the chorus stay and others arrive (including some youth members).  Under the guidance of our musical director, Kristian, we learn a couple of songs for our upcoming concert in December.

Here is what our first practice of Seasons of Love produced.  Over time we will get better.  After all, we are still learning our parts. :D

We need more members. In time, we are hoping to have more and more people join so that we can produce a majestic sound.
